Welcome to Text Adventures!
Text Adventures are games that are completely custom and are never the same! The way these work is, someone starts a thread. We'll call him the story teller for the time being. So, on the first post of the thread the story teller will write a small paragraph of a short story that you can make up about any topic. Now, in that paragraph, there will be choices that the character of the story needs to make. The story teller will not be the one making the choices for the character. Members that read the story will be making the choices. Now, I realize what I just said there might be a bit confusing, so here is a small example:
By Story Teller:
Once upon a time there was a pig that could fly. But then he noticed a bird hurt on the sidewalk. Should the pig help the bird, or let it suffer?
By Member:
The pig should help the bird.
By Story Teller:
The pig flies over to where the bird is laying. "What's happened?" the pig asks. "It's my wing! I think it's broken." the bird said with pain in its voice. "Okay. Hold on." Should the pig fly the bird to a vet? Or bring it to a trash can?"
By Member:
The pig should fly the bird to a vet.
And so on. Cool? Good. Alright, here's some rules for the games.
