First Thing

Okay, so Griffin and I are gonna try put together an actual story-thing. But I would appreciate Sky's cooperation as well, so you better read this, Sky! ;D

Right, so first thing's second today, but we'll make an exception for this particular first thing.

We need a setting. So, what will it be, something medieval-ish, something modern-ish, or something else?

Once we have the setting, we'll need a plot. I proposed earlier that perhaps we should all just create some really interesting characters with interesting circumstances and somehow connect them all. . . interestingly.

Now, to make this work, we have to all like it a lot and be interested ourselves. Readers won't care if the authors don't, so we need to make this awesome.

And I'm up for any idea. As long as it's got action in it and is really interesting.

I think it should be in modern times. Here are my reasons:
1. Guns
2. Cars
3. Explosive Bombs
4. Planes

We could mend those objects into some pretty awesome actiony things. Like a Plane with a bunch of Cars on it that are full of Explosive Bombs gets shot with a gun and blows up.

Also about the characters, you could make a character thread or sub-board for character design.

Good plan, and I'm glad you chose modern times, 'cause I'm writing a book with that setting right now, so this should be easy. That said, Sky should have a say too, so it won't be official until she agrees.

But that doesn't mean we can't plan for the future! ;D

I'll get that character board set up. In the meantime, setting. What are we gonna do about the place? I assume it's a city? If so, how big is it, where are things located, and is there a way we can somehow create a sort of map of it? This way, we can do all the stuntsthatlookimprobableonpaperbutultimatelyproveeffective we want yet still maintain at least a basic understanding as to what's going on.

I can throw up a map of what I think the city area should look like. I have a pretty good idea about that. I'll whip one up real quick

The character board is up, and I'm thinking hard on what characters to include. Now, this is mainly a question for Sky, but would anthropomorphic (human-like) animals work better than humans? I'm actually leaning toward humans on this one, but I'm willing to listen if you disagree.

Issue 2: Bad guys? Any ideas?

I think it should just be humans. With, of course, human like qualities.

If you want to actually include a real map for the book, I can make this a ton better. This is just to give an idea of what it looks like. (Names and things to be decided later) Also we could add other things like rivers, mountains, etc. Also I'm thinking this city to be about the size a New York City.

It can even be Tri State. ;D

Well, that's pretty, uh, basic, but cool. We can sorta work with that. I'll see if I can somehow put together an outline of just the city. But, that's a tedious project for a later time.

Okay, so, plot. I think this will largely depend on our characters, so I'm off to the Character Design board. But if you have any specific idea in your head, feel free to share it!

lol. I posted my idea of a character. But yes I'm very aware that the map is very undetailed. I made it in like 5 minutes.

Lol. And it can be a lot bigger too in order to fit the plot. And since we'll probably have our own country, we don't need states. And plus we could make a map of the entire country too, as well with the capital. That totals two. ;D Unless we decide we go some different direction with the plot.

As you can see the country is sort of small. Would you like it like that or do you want a bigger country?

Well, I suppose it doesn't matter yet, but if it becomes an issue, we can change it. After all, it may be the only inhabited place in the world. Just as long as it's a powerful country, I guess.
